Welcome to my website! I am so pleased that you are taking the time to read about my practice and me.

The stories we tell about our lives reflect deeply-held beliefs about ourselves, our families and our experiences. I do not have an “us” and “them” approach to therapy. I believe we are all human beings trying our best to live life in a healthy and satisfying way. It is essential to acknowledge traumas and struggles, and it is imperative to understand and nurture our strengths and highest level of coping and functioning.

There are many ways of doing that. The focus of therapy in my practice is to help you identify those strengths and minimize the negative impact of the traumas and struggles you may have experienced or are experiencing.

My approach is collaborative and interactive. Your feedback is a large part of our process together.

I engage in ongoing consultation and collaboration with other therapists to maintain a high standard of clinical practice. I participate in continuing education programs in many areas, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mind/body and marital therapy models. I study extensively about positive psychology and psychotherapy.

I have been practicing social work since 1986 when I received my MSW from New York University. I am certified as a clinical supervisor for other social workers.

Please see my LinkedIn for further information about my education and employment history. Please look at the other pages on this website regarding contact details, practice location and payment.
